Wheel alignment assesses and adjusts the positioning of each tyre on the vehicle in relation to the road and each other to make sure they are all set according to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.

Has your vehicle started drifting to one side? Or has your steering become more difficult to control? There's a chance that your tyres have become misaligned. Misaligned wheels can also cause vibration, unsteady breaking and uneven tyre wear.

The condition of the roads is one of the main factors in misaligned wheels. Hitting potholes or curbs can also result in small changes to the positioning of the tyres.

When aligning your tyres, the following are important:

• Camber: The inward/outward angle of the tyre when viewed from the front.
• Toe: The extent to which your tyres turn inward or outward when viewed from above.
• Caster: The angle of your steering exis when viewed from the side of your vehicle. The caster angle helps balance steering, stabiity and cornering.

For full functionality and safety, it is recommended that you have your tyre alignment checked at least once a year.
